Malone to sit with Kansas Supreme Court to consider murder appeal
Topeka ? Douglas County District Court Judge Michael Malone will sit with the Kansas Supreme Court to hear oral arguments in a murder case out of Johnson County.
The arguments will be held Jan. 30.
Malone was sitting with the court when it heard an earlier appeal by John Henry Horton Jr., who was convicted of first-degree murder in 2003.
Malone has been on the Douglas County bench since 1982, and has been appointed to sit with the state Supreme Court several times to consider appeals.
