— Democratic gubernatorial candidate Paul Davis has received the endorsement of two major public school groups.

The Kansas National Education Association, the state's largest teachers' union, and Kansas Families for Education last week announced their backing of Davis in his race against Gov. Sam Brownback, a Republican.

Davis, the House minority leader from Lawrence, has been a strong supporter of public schools, the groups said.

"Throughout his career, his steadfast commitment to our schools stood out. Kansans can be sure that our local schools will remain Paul Davis’s priority as governor," said Karen Godfrey, president of the KNEA.

The headline isn't accurate. Davis received an endorsement from a teacher's union and a PAC. Not the public schools.

Well, it depends on what your definition of "it" is. It says "...two public school groups" in the body of the article. I help sell cookies for the school band and we're a public school group too. This is great support for a good guy who will hopefully become our next Governor. Brownback and his "Pac" agenda boys are destroying the state.

I'd like to see a chart. A chart that shows the expected tax savings of those of us in Kansas Brownback and his yes men gave us "business" people. I expect it's going to be a hockey stick with Koch Industries at the top and far far above the next biggest player. I mean, way way way above. Then you'll see the play that was made.

Corporations "ain't" people. People have hearts, minds, and morals. Most anyway.

Go get 'em Mr. Davis.
