Letter: The big lie
To the editor:
Incredible! The governor of Kansas didn’t know about the state’s severe budget shortfall until six days after the election! (Journal-World, Oct. 26) Everyone in Kansas who was paying attention to the quarterly reports on tax revenues was well aware of it, and many had been predicting it for four years.
But their warnings were characterized as “a bunch of lies,” by Gov. S.B. in October 2014. It seems that he is resorting to the Big Lie Technique: “fabricate colossal untruths, and (the people) would not believe that others could have the impudence to distort the truth so infamously.” (A. Hitler, Mein Kampf, 1925).
