Letter: Safety steps
To the editor:
The traffic accident at Sixth and Rockledge that sent one of our youngest and most vulnerable citizens on an airlift for life has and should focus our attention on the important things in life. My suggestion is to set speed limits at controlled intersections to 20 mph during school zone hours, flashing lights, speed traps and all. The resulting traffic “jams” would infuriate some, but it would be a wise investment to instill a sense of safety and community pride. All of our best to the young man, family and friends.
