World of ideals
What’s your vision for an ideal world? From 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Spencer Museum of Art, 1301 Mississippi St., dial it back to a more ideal time with the free lecture “Envisioning an Ideal World: The City of Great Peace & Visual Politics in Early 19th C. Korea.” Dr. Chin-Sung Chang will discuss how Korean images worked within the larger context of East Asian painting, highlighting the relationship between crisis and visual politics.
Galapagos safari
At 7:30 tonight, journey through the Galapagos with Dr. Charles Wyttenbach, retired KU professor emeritus of Biological Sciences and longtime photographer, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1245 New Hampshire St. Wyttenbach will share images and stories from his “Galapagos Photo Safari” of 2013. Free to attend.
