Letter: Overreaction
To the editor:
One is dismayed at Kansas University’s overreaction to Professor David Guth’s Tweet expressing outrage concerning the murderous U.S. gun climate, unique among developed nations. Obviously, he was simply employing hyperbole of the type, “As I told you a million times …” to make the point shared by so many of us that these mass killings must not continue.
KU already has sufficient financial concerns without exposing itself to a possible lawsuit brought by an American citizen based on one’s First Amendment right to free speech.
