I appreciated Sara Shepherd’s Journal-World article about The Raven Book Store at 6 E. Seventh in downtown Lawrence. Many of us know Pat Kehde and Mary Lou Wright, the founders, and we are pleased that The Raven is celebrating its 25th year in business. The quote by owner Heidi Raak, “People in Lawrence are so loyal to us…” is also about me. I used to go into the nearby Borders to look at books and, when I found one I wanted, I would go over to The Raven and order it from them.
