Letter: A little voice
To the editor:
I grew up in a fundamentalist Christian family and I’ve seen first-hand how that brand of religion can disable the mind and shrivel the soul. I was appalled to see it again in Carl Burkhead’s anti-gay letter in Wednesday’s Public Forum. When I think of all the fine gay people there are in the world, I keep coming back to the conclusion that Christians like Burkhead have a little voice inside of them saying, “You’re not good enough.”
