Letter: Withhold pay

October 11, 2013

To the editor:

Millions are out of work due to the government shutdown, as if the unemployment rate was not bad enough already.  Home mortgages cannot be paid, and homes may go into foreclosure again. Senators and representatives still get their COLA even in a recession. Meanwhile soldiers have no paid furloughs.

Congress fights basically over everything. Their agenda is to disagree and take control like greedy bullies and go into recess with nothing accomplished. They should negotiate for the common good. I think they should not get paid until they get the job done.

Don't let your emotions get in the way of fact checking. "Millions are out of work" implies several million....the number of workers sent home as a result of the government shuydown is actually 800,000 and some of those are workers who are paid through fellowships which are accounted for in the previous years budget/continuing resolution. In other words, they are on paid vacation.

I've received emails from Kansas legislators who were on record as supporting shutting down government to kill Obamacare suddenly have changed their minds. Just long enough to get re-elected then return to capitol hill for a repeat performance.

33 years of insane supply side economics trying to turn government over to private industry has gone on long enough. Vote out the Kansas RINO"s which is all of them.

Moat certainly these RINO's will come off as old school republicans on the campaign trail while spending zillions of special interest dollars on misinformation only to return and resume their positions once back to D.C. It's been going on for years.

The ALEC Right Wing Party has a long history of economic destruction. Like or not a consistent and disturbing pattern has developed by their choosing.

Neither democrats nor republicans nor Green Party thinkers can afford this ALEC Right Wing Party that is masquerading as republicans

After spending so so many decades in Washington D.C on tax dollar payrolls these radical RINO’s are sure they learned all they needed to know about taking YOUR money to establish reckless economies and unemployment way beyond belief by way of Facism.

This extreme RINO party cost the USA too much money! And take out economies and jobs at the speed of light!!! Time to remove these radical RINO's from the tax dollar payroll.
