O-East blanks LHS soccer

? Olathe East scored four first-half goals and defeated Lawrence High 4-0 on Thursday night at CBAC.

“We did not defend set pieces very well,” LHS coach Michael Murphy said. Olathe East scored on two corner kicks and a free kick from the corner similar to a corner kick. “They were very big, very fast, very physical–the best team we’ve played all year,” said Murphy.

Lawrence (5-6-1) shut out Olathe East in the second half.

The Lions will host Shawnee Mission Northwest on Tuesday.
