Letter: Spirit lacking
To the editor:
Abraham Lincoln said in the Gettysburg Address … “that this nation, under God, shall have a new birth of freedom — and that government of the people, by the people, for the people shall not perish from the earth.”
When did our government, both state and national, become a government of the politician, by the politician, for the politician — thus the perishing of the government of all of the people. Where is the spirit of God’s love in their decision-making?
