Letter: Token effort

To the editor:

How comforting that our governor gives money to the homeless on Mass Street and spends 20 minutes asking how he can help (Journal-World, Feb. 25)! It serves as an outlet for the considerable spare change in his pocket as a result of his tax policies. As to how he can help, how about not adding 6.3 percent to the cost of their food in order to bestow a hefty tax break on the Koch brothers and other allies?

As the governor’s tax and social policies take effect, he will inevitably have many more sources of advice and recipients for his alms.
