A 25-year-old Lawrence man was arrested on suspicion of theft and computer crimes Tuesday, after a Lawrence Sprint retailer reported more than $5,000 worth of phones and other products had been stolen by an employee.

Jerrin Keith Thompson was arrested at Sprint Store by Wireless, 2108 W. 27th St., where police allege he stole phones from Dec. 26 to Jan. 23. Thompson was booked into Douglas County Jail about 12:45 p.m. Tuesday and released on a $3,000 bond.

On Wednesday, staff at the store said Thompson no longer was employed there.

Cut the guy some slack. He was probably just trying to find one that actually worked.

Maybe that explains some of the ongoing problems I have had with that store. Word of warning - it is a "3rd party store" and Sprint will not honor returns at other stores.

Jerrin Keith Thompson, who stole $5,000 worth of phones, might want to find a new lot in life as being a thief is not your CALLING.....You dialed up the wrong career and your future is like a dead line
