Letter: It’s still taxes
To the editor:
I am replying to the letter from Dave Kyner published Jan. 25. I think building the rec center to withstand storms that we could have is a great idea.
As for the funding suggested for this project, has Mr. Kyner given any thought as to where FEMA funds come from? These funds are TAX dollars collected from all the states in the union. I’m sure all the towns in the U.S. want to build a rec center in Lawrence, Kan. Because that is where the money comes from.
