NAIA honors FSHS senior Parker

Free State High senior basketball and softball player Courtney Parker has been selected as an NAIA High School Champions of Character Award winner.

Parker and other winners will be recognized on March 18 during the NAIA Men’s Division I Basketball National Championship, at Municipal Auditorium in Kansas City, Mo.

FSHS softball coach Lee Ice nominated Parker for the award, which is given to high school athletes for their “values of integrity, respect, responsibility, sportsmanship and servant leadership in and out of competition,” according to an NAIA announcement.
