Letter: Voter access
To the editor:
Residents of Douglas County are mighty lucky to have Jamie Shew as our county clerk. Jamie and his staff have worked tirelessly to ensure voters have ready access to the polls.
The county’s decision to extend early voting hours to Sunday, to accommodate folks who might have otherwise been prevented from voting by the pending storm, is to be commended. Thank you, Jamie Shew, and thanks, too, to your staff at the county courthouse! Our democracy is stronger for your dedicated efforts.
