Lawrence man injured in home invasion, robbed at gunpoint

Lawrence police are investigating a home invasion in Lawrence after a man reported two men forced their way into his apartment with a gun and robbed him Wednesday evening.

The robbery was reported to police about 7 p.m. Wednesday in the 2300 block of Wakarusa Drive, said Sgt. Trent McKinley, a Lawrence Police Department spokesman. The victim told police that he had answered a knock at his door and was assaulted by two men who pushed their way inside the apartment and struck him in the face. One of the robbers threatened him with a handgun before they left the apartment with the victim’s cell phone, cash and some electronics.

A detailed description of the suspects was not available today. No arrests have been made, McKinley said.
