Westbound traffic at the intersection of Clinton Parkway and Inverness Drive was blocked Thursday afternoon while police responded to a rollover accident.

The accident occurred about 3:30 p.m., when a westbound Chevy Trailblazer driven by an 18-year-old Topeka man failed to stop for a red light, said Sgt. Trent McKinley. The Trailblazer struck a northbound minivan and rolled on its side.

The driver of the Trailblazer was not injured, McKinley said, but he was extricated from the vehicle by a Lawrence-Douglas County Fire Medical crew and cited by police for the traffic infraction.

Police were reopening the intersection at 5:30 p.m.

Accidents are often someone's fault, because they are frequently caused by stupidity or negligence.

Just because someone "didn't mean to" doesn't mean they're not 100% at fault. It just means they aren't a psycho who tried to murder someone at an intersection.

Accident implies that it was not intentional.
