Volunteers and donations are being sought for Project Graduation 2013, the communitywide post-graduation party for all high schools in Lawrence.

The annual event is intended to provide a fun, safe, alcohol- and drug-free environment where graduates can eat, dance, play games, win prizes and celebrate together.

This year’s event is scheduled from 10 p.m. to 3 a.m. Wednesday, May 22, at Abe and Jake’s Landing, 8 E. Sixth St.

Organizers say anyone wanting to contribute food or prizes or to volunteer their time may contact the event co-chairs Angie Evers and Diane Becker by email: chairs@projectgraduationlawrence.org.
