Eudora Fest will offer a jam-packed day of entertainment Oct. 6.
The 16th annual festival will include a parade, a barbecue contest, three different live bands, historical re-enactments and a car show, plus a wide range of arts and crafts for sale.
“It’s a happening place,” said Barbara Tuttle, Eudora Fest chair. “There’s just something for everybody.”
Tuttle said the festival began as a way to honor the area’s heritage.
“It started to honor the German heritage of Eudora because Germany has Oktoberfest,” she said. Tuttle added that the festival is also a good way to bring people to downtown Eudora.
While it might be held in the tradition of a German Oktoberfest Tuttle said there would be no beer garden. “It’s family fun,” she said.
