Free State volleyball takes two at Shawnee Mission East

Prairie Village — Free State High’s volleyball team defeated Shawnee Mission East, 24-26, 25-19, 25-7, and defeated Olathe Northwest, 25-19, 25-19, on Thursday at SM East’s gym.

The Firebirds, who improved to 11-4 and 7-0 in the Sunflower League, travel to Topeka Seaman on Saturday.

“Shawnee Mission East won the league last year and Olathe Northwest was second so it was a good night for us,” coach Nancy Hopkins said.
