Eudora police releasing few details about detonation of device found at apartment complex

Eudora police have few new details to release about a “suspicious device” found and later detonated Thursday afternoon at the Greenway Apartment complex, 1516 Greenway Drive, said Sgt. Chris Casagrande.

“Right now, we’re just in a holding pattern,” he said.

Casagrande did not release any more specific information about the device, which was taken from the apartment manager’s office Thursday about 1 p.m. The Leavenworth County bomb squad detonated it about 4:30 p.m.

Casagrande said the remaining materials will be tested, and officers are working a couple of leads. But, he said it could take a week before new details emerge publicly.
