To the editor:
Here we go again with the circus that the Republican Convention is!
I was a new American in 1952, and I have since voted in every election. I will not vote in November! What our electoral system amounts to is a joke on us, the voters! We have no say! We now vote for either the lesser of two evils or for the most palatable candidate. Ours is still the best democracy in the world.

If you don't vote, then you have no reason to complain after the election. It is not a voting of the lesser of two evils, you can always write in a candidate if you are unsatisfied with the choices offered.

How can you equate being God-less to not agreeing that Jerusalem should be the capitol of Israel? Of course there were boos! We, Americans, should not meddle in the affairs of Israel and Palestine. They should settle their differences without our war material and without us saying one word. Perhaps they could finally come to an agreement. But we put in our two cents, then the Brittish who caused the whole mess to start with. Israel is its own country, doesn't need our help, our money, our weapons or our support. They bomb our ships, blow up our buildings and we have no control over them., They spy on us and that is illegal and against our treaty with them. Who are you kidding. we don't need them!

False you're making a great case for why there is a tremendous need for greater funding of public education in America.
