A resident in the 2500 block of Dover Court reported that someone broke into their home about 2:30 a.m. Tuesday, said Lawrence Police Sgt. Trent McKinley. The resident heard her door alarm activate and noises downstairs, then locked herself in a room while contacting police. Police checked the home, but nothing appeared to be missing.
