Prairie Village ? Free State High’s Alexis Czapinksi went 2-1 and placed sixth at the Class 6A state tennis meet on Sunday.

Czapinski beat Derby’s Morgan Hughes, 9-2, and Olathe East’s Erica Change, 9-3, but fell to Blue Valley West’s Katie Fries, 9-3.

“Alexis had a great tournament,” FSHS coach Oather Strawderman said. “She improved on her performance from last year, even though the field was much deeper.”
