Letter: Beautiful park
To the editor:
I want to thank the city of Lawrence for the dog park out by Clinton Lake. This is simply a beautiful park, and I take my two dogs to the park three to four times a week.
We have our routine, walking through the fields, into the woods along shady, forested paths, eventually winding around by the river. I’ve gone as early as 6 a.m. in order to see the blue heron that fishes at a certain point in the river. This week the city poured concrete, which will provide a cleaner place to get water. I know everyone who visits (about a hundred people and dogs this evening) appreciates the quality park. Thank you!
