Lawrence High football teammates Brad Strauss and Will Thompson are up for the Kansas US Air Force Precision Airstrike of the Year award.

The senior quarterback and receiver won the Airstrike of the Week award in Kansas for their Week 2 performances at Shawnee Mission Northwest, in a 42-13 win.

Strauss threw for 169 yards and two touchdowns, one of those coming on a 20-yard pass to Thompson, who racked up 105 receiving yards.
