Big Brothers Big Sisters of Douglas County has room for more entries in its annual Gingerbread Festival, so construction artists of both gingerbread and graham cracker houses are urged to get building.
Graham cracker houses constructed by children and gingerbread houses built by adults will be on display from Nov. 30 to Dec. 2 at the Carnegie Building, 200 W. Ninth St. Twenty gingerbread houses will be auctioned off at a gala beginning at 7 p.m. Dec. 5, also at the Carnegie Building.
For more information or to get an entry form, visit http://douglas.kansasbigs.org/events.aspx. The deadline for entries is Monday, Nov. 26.
