Two members of Lawrence High’s regional champion boys soccer team earned 2012 All-Sunflower League first-team honors.

Senior midfielder Justin Riley and junior defender Connor Henrichs were the city’s only first-team representatives.

The second team included two of their Lions teammates, senior forward Robert Lyan and senior defender Dalen Reed, as well as Free State junior midfielder Alex Trent.

LHS senior Johannes Reiber and junior Parker Davies received honorable mention, as did FSHS senior Anthony Richardson and freshman Will Lauffer.

All-Central Region

Members of both city soccer programs earned Class 6A All-Central Region first-team recognition.

Lyan, Reiber, Riley and Henrichs were first-team selections for Lawrence, while Trent and Richardson got the nod for Free State.

Second-team all-region selections were the Firebirds’ Evan Smith and the Lions’ Reed.
