Parts of New Hampshire and 10th streets to be closed as part of Art Tougeau event; parade to start at noon
The 900 block of New Hampshire Street will remain closed for the Lawrence Arts Center’s Final Friday and “Art Tougeau” events until 1 p.m. Saturday. The 100 block of East 10th Street will also close from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. The closures are expected to affect the parking garage in the 900 block of New Hampshire, but event organizers will be on hand to allow cars in and out.
The Art Tougeau parade of adorned cars will begin at noon Saturday at the Arts Center, 940 N.H., and continue west on 11th Street, north on Massachusetts Street, east on Seventh and back to New Hampshire, leading to Replay Lounge at 946 Mass. There will be an award ceremony after the parade and then a block party.
