Lumberyard Arts Center fire damage estimated at $50,000
A weekend fire at the Lumberyard Arts Center in Baldwin City caused about $50,000 in damage, said Baldwin City Fire Chief Allen Craig Monday morning.
The fire, at 718 High St., started about 4:30 a.m. Sunday, and firefighters reported fire showing on the north side of the building. No one was hurt in the blaze.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation, Craig said. The state fire marshal is conducting the investigation.
