Topeka Free State High’s girls soccer team defeated Washburn Rural, 3-2, in double overtime Thursday night for a Class 6A regional championship.
Kylee Loneker scored the winning goal on an assist from Chelsea Casady.
The Firebirds (12-4-2) qualified for the state quarterfinals.
Maddie Dieker scored two goals in the first half for Free State.
