• Construction is set to begin Monday at Bridge Haven Care Cottage, a residential assisted living home in Lawrence. Robert Wilson, executive director, plans to adds two private bedrooms, a sunroom, a bathroom and an enhanced security system. The expansion will allow Bridge Haven Care Cottage to have two more residents, bringing the total to six. Construction is scheduled to be complete Sept. 1.

• Jenny Wold has been promoted to hospice team manager at the Visiting Nurses Association. She has been employed by VNA as a hospice social worker for four years and has worked in the health care field for more than 12 years.

• Dr. Jeremy Stover of Stover Chiropractic, 4106 W. Sixth St., recently attended a new doctor seminar.

• Barbara J. Braa, CornerBank vice president and trust officer, was chosen as president-elect of the Kansas Bankers Association trust division board during the annual MoKan Trust and Financial Services Conference in May. Braa has served on the board since 2008.
