Sixth Street mill and overlay project to begin Monday
The city will begin its mill and overlay project affecting Sixth Street at midnight Monday. Crews will work overnight because of lower temperatures and fewer drivers, according to a media release from the city.
The work will take place between Lawrence Avenue and Iowa Street. One lane will remain open in both directions but organizers warn that delays for motorists are likely.
Contractors expect the work to be done by Aug. 10.
