Budget logic
To the editor:
Having a few more policemen is an understandable request, but not a new building. There are plenty of unused schools, churches or fire department buildings that could be remodeled or used.
Recycle and reuse is just talk, right? A new rec center, new library, new parking garage and now a new police department building in a poor economy is sure to attract more retired people who want to pay more taxes, especially on a limited income, right?
We have to live logically, responsibly, and within our means. We do not have the funds to do otherwise.
