No one has filed to oppose three incumbents who are seeking re-election to the Lecompton City Council.
Council members Christy Mallonee, Jimmy Wilkins and Jennifer Smith filed to run for the three open seats on the five-member council, the Douglas County Clerk’s Office confirmed. The deadline to file was noon Tuesday.
The general election in the community northwest of Lawrence is scheduled for April 3.
