To the editor:
It is understandable, in this day and age, not to have young girls going door to door anymore selling Girl Scout cookies. But some troops (and the girls and parents) are being left to pick up a financial burden. So wrong.
Troops will be selling cookies at various locations in the coming weeks. If you don’t need cookies, buy some and donate them to Just Food or another local food pantry. The leader at the sale may even arrange to deliver your donation for your convenience.
Help the Scouts and give a treat to a family that cannot afford a box of cookies this winter.
