An 18-year-old Lawrence resident was transported to Lawrence Memorial Hospital just after midnight Saturday after an accident in Douglas County.

Kendra Moore lost control of her car as she traveled west on North 400 Road and approached East 900 Road, also known as County Road 1039, said Douglas County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Blake McCall. Her Ford Taurus flipped and came to rest in a ditch.

Moore had serious but not life-threatening injuries, McCall said.

The accident site is about four miles northwest of the intersection of U.S. Highways 59 and 56.
