One person injured in I-70 accident west of Lecompton interchange

A 43-year-old Lawrence woman was taken to an area hospital after a two-vehicle accident about 7:35 a.m. Monday on Interstate 70 west of Lawrence, according to the Kansas Turnpike Authority.

The crash occurred about one mile west of the Lecompton interchange in the westbound lanes. Travis M. Haas and Paul C. Hahn, 47, of Lawrence, the driver of the truck were not injured. Rice was a passenger in Haas’ vehicle. Everyone was wearing a seat belt.
