The Kansas Land Trust is sponsoring two workshops on the benefits of conservation easements for Douglas County landowners.

The easements preserve and protect land from future development.

The first of the free workshops is scheduled from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Feb. 16 at the Lawrence Public Library, 707 Vt.

The second is set from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Feb. 21 at the Baldwin Public Library, Seventh and High streets in Baldwin City.
