Olathe ? Free State High’s Ben Sloan set a league and school record in the 100 butterfly in a time of 51.11 seconds during the preliminary round of the Sunflower League swimming and diving meet on Friday at Mission Trail Junior High.

FSHS also is seeded first in the 400 free relay, and the Firebirds’ Canaan Campbell is seeded No. 1 in the 500 free.

FSHS is second in the 200 medley relay and fifth in the 200 free relay.

For Lawrence High, Zach Andregg is seeded No. 1 in the 200 and 100 free.

The Lions are seeded second on the 200 and 400 free relays.

Diving prelims begin at 9 this morning, and all finals begin at 1 p.m.
