Lawrence High girls bowling wins Olate South quad

? Lawrence High’s girls bowling team won the Olathe South quadrangular, and the Lions placed a close second in the boys competition Thursday at Olathe Lanes East.

Kierstan Warren took second for the LHS girls with a 593 series that included games of 204 and 202. Riley Gentry rolled a pair of 246 games in a 681 series, good for second place for the LHS boys.

The Lion girls totaled 2,139 pins to 2,117 for second-place Olathe South. The LHS boys, meanwhile, finished just three pins out of first place with a 2,609 total to 2,612 for Olathe South.

Third-place Rebecca McNemee bowled games of 222 and 202 in a 580 series, Zoe Reed had a 477 series, and Abby Schmidtberger had a 455 series for the LHS girls.

Isaiah Ross took third for the LHS boys with a 672 series that included games of 232 and 252. Pace Leggins had a 226 in a 617 series, and Austin Bennett bowled a 246 in a 592 series. Connor Daniels added a game of 204.
