A resident in the 3500 block of West 22nd Street reported early Monday to Lawrence police that two men kicked in the apartment door and threatened the two residents with a knife over a debt, said Sgt. Trent McKinley, a police spokesman.

No one was injured. One of the subjects knew the victim, McKinley said. Officers were continuing to investigate the incident.
