Spencer Museum of Art to reopen to public Tuesday

The Spencer Museum of Art will reopen to the public on Tuesday after being closed since an Aug. 1 water main break, according to a note to patrons from Saralyn Reece Hardy, the museum’s director.

The museum will resume its normal hours of operation, which run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays and from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesdays and Thursdays. It is open from noon to 4 p.m. Sundays and closed on Mondays.

“The Museum’s galleries and collections were not affected by the incident,” the director wrote in her note. “We have missed your energy and presence in our galleries, and look forward to seeing you in the Museum again soon.”
