Church to hand out free clothes

August 8, 2012

Ninth Street Missionary Baptist Church will distribute new and slightly used clothes at no charge to children in need from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday.

The event, in its second year, aims to help families and kids prepare for the school year, and the church encourages as many people as possible to attend.

Clothes will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis at the Ninth Street Christian Education Building, 833 Ohio. Clothing supplies are limited.

Is the church accepting donations of clothing up until the give-a-way? I have a collection going to a thrift store but would gladly drop off here if accepted.

If they aren't, I may be able to help you out. Know a family in Merriam that has 4 kids and just lost everything in a house fire. We're collecting items at my work for them. These are the ages and sizes were needing.
