Lawrence city crews have closed one westbound lane on Sixth Street because of a water line replacement project.

The closure, which began Tuesday and likely could last through Thursday, is between Florida and Minnesota streets, according to Jeanette Klamm, utilities program manager.

The water line work is under way at Fifth and Minnesota streets.
