Thursday afternoon rain has canceled softball games on both sides of Lawrence.

Neither Free State High nor Lawrence High will have their home doubleheaders. The Firebirds were scheduled to play Shawnee Mission Northwest, while the Lions were to play Shawnee Mission South.

The doubleheaders have not yet been rescheduled.

Free State athletics director and baseball coach Mike Hill said FSHS baseball will attempt to play Shawnee Mission North at 5 p.m., 30 minutes earlier than originally scheduled.
