Easter egg hunts set for Saturday

The Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department will host two Easter egg hunts on Saturday afternoon.

The Underwater Eggstravaganza begins at noon at the Lawrence Indoor Aquatic Center, 4706 Overland Drive. Craft making is from noon to 12:30 p.m., and the egg hunt runs from 12:30 p.m. to 12:45 p.m. Pre-registration is required for the craft making, and there’s a $5 fee for the egg hunt and swimming that can be paid the day of the event. The event is open to children ages 2 to 12.

The Egg Hunt Extravaganza is from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. in South Park. The event is free and open to children ages 3 to 13. Hunters will be allowed to collect up to five eggs, and the event will feature other activities for children.
