Arrest warrant issued for man accused of peeking at women showering in KU residence halls

A Douglas County judge Tuesday morning issued a bench warrant for a 23-year-old Shawnee man accused of peeking at women showering at Kansas University residence halls last April.

District Judge Peggy Kittel issued the warrant for Devin Joseph Mason because he did not appear for a court hearing. His defense attorney, Carl Folsom, told Kittel he had not been able to contact Mason.

Prosecutors have filed five misdemeanor eavesdropping charges against Mason. KU Public Safety officers last April asked for the public’s help in the case after receiving multiple reports of a suspect who was opening shower curtains and looking in on female students, including in Hashinger and McCollum halls.
