KU Public Safety investigates vehicle burglaries

Kansas University Public Safety officers are investigating a report of a vehicle burglary that occurred between 8:40 a.m. and 1:15 p.m. Wednesday in lot 301 in the 2000 block of Becker Avenue. The driver’s-side window of a vehicle was broken, and a stereo system valued at $1,300 was taken, causing $1,100 in damage. A second vehicle burglary was reported nearby at the Park and Ride lot on West Campus on Wednesday alleged to have occurred at 10:10 a.m. after someone forced entry into a vehicle and stole an iPod, baseball bag, two baseball bats and a glove. Loss in that burglary was valued at $945.
